Herbicide Safety
Note: We do not consider reading the handouts a substitute for attending a workshop where you can see and hear all of the details of this subject. In addition, being able to clarify any questions you have about the materials provided can be very important in making sure the work is done safely. We intend to conduct future workshops to meet the demand. Please let us know if you are interested. There is no charge for these workshops.
Phragmites in the foreground burned just a few weeks earlier. Without herbicide treatment, now it's back healthier than ever.
Herbicide Safety Workshops
If you use or are planning to use any pesticides or herbicides at your home
this workshop will provide you with a basic understanding of how to do it
safely. This presentation will include information to help homeowners understand
pesticide and herbicide regulations, label information, terminology, health
and safety concerns, proper handling, storage, application, cleanup and disposal
procedures.
On Saturday, June 28, 2008, we conducted a herbicide safety
workshop with presenter Jacob Meganck of Cygnet Enterprises, Inc., Flint,
MI. We will be conducting future herbicide safety workshops to meet demand.
Please let us know if you are interested. Workshops presented by Harsens Island
Phragmites Committee. If you have any questions please call Bob Williams at
248-388-0465 or email Bob@StewartFarm.org
